WHERE TO EAT

Arca (Best restaurant highly recommend)

Hartwood (food was ok but on everyone's list...)

Be Tulum (One of the best lunches.. whole roasted fish in adobo is amazing plus live music)

Nomad ( oo for lunch!)

Saikuk - heard the food is amazing and turns into a party on Sundays!

Casa Jaguar - great drinks/food/music - parties on Thursdays!

Meze (same owners as gitano - greek food)

Posada Margherita (great italian resto)

Walk down the main strip so many cute bars and restos!!

WHERE TO PARTY

Rosa Negra - you can go in the day or evening ( we went during the day and loved it - wasn't packed but had the best time and the food was amazing! Started to pick up around 4pm! Busy day is Saturday!

Gitana - We went for dinner and dancing. Food and service was meh but great music and a fun scene (Friday is the day to go)

Bagatelle (we didn't go but great option for day or evening)

EXCURSIONS AND EXPERIENCES

Cenotes Tour (We did a half day 10am-3pm) and it was incredible. Highly recommend - we coordinated through our hotel with Bushman. They coordinate everything - towels, life jackets, lunch - just bring your own booze!!

Yaan Wellness Spa (right opposite Be Tulum) - go there for a half day and do the cold plunge/sauna and steam. The lymphatic massage was amazing!

Yoga at NOMAD - they have tons of classes and there is no need to sign up

Kin-Toh (very overpriced and food was ok... but very cool experience eating in nests looking over Tulum. I would recommend going for drinks and watching the sunset

Ruins - we didn't do this but supposed to be amazing

Surfing - organized through our hotel (one of the girls on our trip did it and said it was amazing)

Casa Malca - about 10 min walk from Nomad (Pablo Escobar's Hotel) - cool sculptures around the pool but not worth going in my opinion.

SHOPPING

The shopping in Tulum is amazing. If you walk along the strip there are tons of little shops that sell the cutest beach cover ups and v tulum vibey outfits.

La Troupe Tulum - very cute clothing

Kaahal Home Tulum - everything from dresses, bucket hats to coffee mugs

Also got the cutest beach outfits from people walking along the beach

OTHER NOTEWORTHY THINGS

-Organize airport transfers to and from your hotel in advance (its a 2 hour drive) - make sure your car is air conditioned!

-Tons of cabs in Tulum but make sure you negotiate price before you get into one (made that mistake and the first cab we took cost us $50 US for a 7 min drive) It's not cheap but most cabs anywhere in Tulum will cost you $30 US.

-Tulum shuts down at 1pm so don't make resos too late!!
