Crispiest Kale Chips

Crispiest Kale Chips

These are the crispiest kale chips ever! With only a few ingredients you can be sitting on the couch, binging your favourite reality TV, in 20-minutes with a snack that you won’t feel guilty eating. This recipe is simple enough but to make sure you get the ultimate crunch here are a few tips:

Dry the leaves completely. You want to make sure there isn't any added moisture to get them crispy.

Don’t overdo the oil. Like water, too much oil can make for soggy chips.

Watch the time! You’ll want to make sure to pull your tray from the oven before the kale goes brown.

  • 1 bunch kale
  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Zest from one lemon

  1. Preheat the oven to 280F.
  2. Wash leave and pat dry (make sure they are dry otherwise they won’t get crispy).
  3. Separate the stem from the leaves.
  4. Once all the stems are removed, add in all your other ingredients. Combine with hands.
  5. Pop on a parchment-lined baking sheet (make sure they are spread out and not overlapping).
  6. Bake 15-20 mins until they feel crispy - don’t overbake.
